The Enigma MCP Server brings the full power of Enigma’s comprehensive business intelligence platform to AI agents operating within Caylex, enabling them to research, analyze, and act on data spanning millions of U.S. businesses. Agents can search companies, retrieve card revenue and transaction analytics, map corporate structures, investigate compliance risks, and perform sanctions screening — all in real time. The server exposes two major tool sets: Business Intelligence tools for deep company research and due diligence, and Screening & Compliance tools for KYB, sanctions list matching, and decision tracking. This makes it well-suited for Caylex projects in areas such as financial analysis, risk management, vendor onboarding, and competitive intelligence. The Enigma MCP server is currently in beta, so users should expect potential changes to tool behavior and data availability.
Prerequisites:
  • An active Enigma account with API access is required to authenticate and use this server.
  • Access to screening and compliance tools (e.g., sanctions screening) may require specific Enigma plan or feature entitlements beyond standard business intelligence access.
Important API details:
  • The Enigma MCP server is currently in beta — tool interfaces and data availability may change without notice.
  • Card analytics data spans up to 60 months of historical transaction data; revenue and growth figures are based on card transactions and may not reflect all payment methods.
  • The find_decisions tool supports pagination and filtering by date range, status, alert, assignee, and tag when retrieving compliance decisions.
  • Screening tools return match confidence scores and source list information (e.g., SDN, Non-SDN) for sanctions and compliance workflows.

Authentication

Header Authentication

This server authenticates via HTTP headers. During the server onboarding flow, you will be prompted to confirm the required headers. Note that you do not provide the values for the headers during the server on-boarding. Header values are provided by the users during the Auth Link flow.

Scopes: openid During the server onboarding flow, you will be prompted to complete the OAuth flow to grant access. See the Enigma Authentication guide for step-by-step credential configuration.

Getting Started

Add the server

Navigate to the Server Library and click on the New Server button. Find Enigma in the Caylex Catalog.

Go through the server onboarding flow.

Use in a project

Add the server to a project by configuring project connections. Its tools are now available to any agents connected to that project.
