Important API details:
- Access is scoped to the permissions of the Datadog API key and Application key used for authentication — ensure the associated user or service account has the necessary Datadog roles for the data being queried.
- The Datadog MCP Server is part of the Bits AI feature set and may require specific Datadog plan tiers or Bits AI entitlements to be enabled on your Datadog organization.
- Data access is limited to the Datadog site (e.g., US1, EU, US3) associated with the credentials provided — cross-site queries are not supported within a single server connection.
